Maybe you’re new to this church thing, or maybe you’re just ready to get more involved. No matter where you find yourself, it’s always nice to know the next steps in the process. Here’s a quick look at how to get more connected at Reliance.
If you haven’t already, the first step is to ATTEND A SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE.
Join us on Sunday, listen to the music, hear our pastor teach from the Bible, and meet a few folks while you’re here. This is the fastest and easiest way to find out what we’re all about. Our worship service lasts about an hour and 15 minutes.
The next step is to INTRODUCE YOURSELF.
Fill out a Connection Card on Sunday, or contact a pastor by email. We’d love to meet you and hear how God has been at work in your life. We’d also be happy to sit down with you and answer any questions you may have.
After that, we would invite you to JOIN A LIFE GROUP.
Life Groups are designed to help you grow in your walk with Christ in the context of a community of believers. The Bible clearly teaches that we need each other as we live this life of faith. That’s why it’s important that you be regularly involved with a community of believers. Some of our Life Groups meet at the church building, while others meet in private homes. Most of our groups have childcare available, if needed.
This fall our Life Groups will be tracking along with Jacob’s sermon series through the book of Acts. It will be an exciting time for us to study the Scriptures together and begin asking what God wants to do in and through Reliance.
If you’re interested in joining a Life Group, let us know. We’d be happy to help you find a group that’s right for you. Sign up today.
Finally, we’d encourage you to BECOME A MEMBER OF RELIANCE.
Why is membership important? According to the Bible every Christian is expected to:
1) Regularly assemble together with a local group of believers (Hebrews 10:23-25)
2) Help other believers grow to maturity in Christ (Ephesians 4:15-16)
3) Protect other believers from sin’s deception (Hebrews 3:12-13)
4) Submit to the leaders of a local church (Hebrews 13:17)
Each of these commands of Scripture implies a clear commitment to a local group of believers. If you’re ready to make this commitment, let’s get started! Fill out the Membership Form and we’ll get you scheduled for our next Membership Class.
